CAMP GUIDELINES

The Crown Experience Camp Rules & Guidelines

Our goal is to create a fun, safe, uplifting, and encouraging environment where every participant feels welcomed, respected, and celebrated. By registering, participants and parents agree to the following guidelines:

General Expectations

  • Participants, parents, and guests are expected to treat others with kindness and respect at all times.
  • Bullying, gossip, rude behavior, discrimination, harassment, or inappropriate conduct will not be tolerated.
  • Participants should encourage one another and help create a positive experience for everyone involved.
  • Good sportsmanship and respectful behavior are expected before, during, and after the showcase.

Parent & Guest Expectations

  • Parents/guardians are responsible for participant transportation and timely arrival/pick-up.
  • During designated participant-only portions of camp, parents will be dismissed from activity areas unless otherwise instructed by staff.
  • Parents and guests are expected to demonstrate respectful behavior toward volunteers, judges, staff, and participants.

Dress Code

  • Clothing should remain age-appropriate and family-friendly throughout all camp activities and competitions.
  • Semi-formal wear is encouraged for formal wear competition. Full pageant gowns or tuxedos are welcome but not required.
  • Personal Style optional should reflect creativity and self-expression while remaining appropriate for a public family event.
  • Participants should wear comfortable clothing and shoes during rehearsals and camp activities.

Attendance & Participation

  • Participants are expected to attend scheduled rehearsals and activities to help ensure a smooth showcase experience.
  • Late arrivals may miss important portions of rehearsals or competitions.
  • Participation in the opening dance is required for showcase participation unless previously approved by event staff.

Backstage & Safety

  • Only authorized participants, volunteers, and staff may enter backstage or participant preparation areas.
  • Participants should remain with their assigned group or volunteer leader during camp activities.
  • Running, horseplay, or unsafe behavior backstage or in venue spaces is prohibited.
  • The Crown Experience is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged personal belongings.

Media Release

  • By participating, parents/guardians grant permission for photos and videos taken during camp and showcases to potentially be used for promotional, marketing, social media, and future event purposes unless otherwise communicated in writing before the event.

Judging & Awards

  • Judges’ decisions are final.
  • Scores and placements will not be publicly debated or disputed during the event.
  • The Crown Experience is designed to celebrate confidence, growth, participation, and self-expression in addition to competition.

Removal Policy

  • The Crown Experience reserves the right to remove any participant, parent, or guest whose behavior is disruptive, unsafe, disrespectful, or inappropriate toward others, staff, volunteers, or the event environment without refund.
